Cambria Roofing: The Dallas Owner’s Guide
Mason Remodeling Co Dallas stocks and installs Cambria-compatible roofing components across Dallas, with most replacements running $400 – $1,800 installed depending on the part and roof access. We keep common Cambria flashing kits, vent collars, and sealant systems on our trucks, so a single visit usually handles the job. Most Dallas homeowners discover the failure the hard way: a ceiling stain after a hard rain, granules collecting in the gutter, or daylight visible from the attic. By the time water shows up inside, the part has been failing for weeks.
We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with Cambria. That means we match the part to your roof honestly, whether it’s an OEM Cambria component or a quality aftermarket equivalent that fits the same spec. You should know who is coming, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong before we ever pick up a tool.
Which Cambria Models This Applies To

Cambria’s roofing line covers three main series: the Cambria Slate profile, the Cambria Shake profile, and the Cambria Tile profile. Each uses a different interlocking geometry, and the flashing kits are not cross-compatible. If you’ve got a Cambria Slate roof, a Shake-profile vent collar will not seat correctly against the panel ribs, and you’ll be chasing leaks forever. The quickest way to identify your profile is to look at the panel overlap: Slate panels have a stepped, square-cut reveal, Shake panels show an irregular staggered edge, and Tile panels have a rounded barrel contour. You can also check the underside of any exposed panel near the eave; Cambria stamps the profile code and manufacturing batch there on most runs from 2015 onward.
For flashing and trim components, OEM Cambria parts are worth the premium if your roof is under the manufacturer’s weathertightness warranty, since aftermarket pieces can void coverage on some registered installations. For vent boots, pipe collars, and sealant, a quality aftermarket equivalent from a brand we stock, like GAF or CertainTeed, performs just as well and often costs less. We’ll tell you which way makes sense for your roof’s age and warranty status before we quote anything.

Signs Your Cambria Roofing Is Failing
- Granules in the gutter or at downspout elbows. Cambria’s stone-coated profiles shed granules as the acrylic binder breaks down under Dallas UV exposure. A light dusting after year eight is normal; a visible pile means the coating has failed and the steel underneath is next.
- Rust streaks below panel overlaps or around fasteners. The zinc-aluminum coating on Cambria panels protects the steel core. Once scratches or worn overlap points expose bare steel, rust starts within one Dallas summer of humidity and heat cycles.
- Loose or lifted panel edges after wind events. The interlocking profile should lie flat. If you can wiggle a panel edge with your hand from a ladder, the locking channel has stretched, usually from repeated thermal expansion or installer over-torquing.
- Water staining on ceiling drywall or around attic penetrations. The pipe collar or vent boot has cracked, and every rain since has been feeding water behind the underlayment. By the time you see the stain, the decking around that penetration is already soft.
- Popped fasteners with exposed neoprene washers. The washers dry out and split after 8 – 12 years in Dallas heat. Once the washer is gone, the fastener hole becomes a direct pathway for water, and replacing just the washer without checking the underlayment is a temporary fix.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

In Dallas, Cambria roofing part replacements run from $400 for a simple pipe collar or vent boot swap up to $1,800 for full flashing replacement along a chimney or sidewall transition. Most of what we quote falls in the $600 – $1,200 range, which covers the part, removal of the failed component, resealing the surrounding panels, and hauling off the old material. The price moves when we need to lift and reset multiple panels to reach the failure point, or when the underlayment beneath shows damage and needs a patched section before the new part goes on.
Every quote is a written price before we start, so there’s no discovery fee surprise at the end. The work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the repair isn’t right within a year of completion, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. That’s 365 days from the completion date, stated plainly on the written guarantee.
DIY or Call Us?
Here’s the honest split. You can safely check your own roof from the ground or a properly set ladder: look for lifted edges, rust streaks, granules in the gutter, and cracked pipe collars visible from below. You can also snap photos and send them to us before we come out, which helps us bring the right part on the first visit. What you should not do is walk a wet or steep Cambria roof, pry up interlocking panels, or attempt to reseal a penetration without knowing the condition of the underlayment beneath it. Stone-coated steel panels are slick when damp, and a fall off a two-story Dallas roofline is not worth the $400 you’d save.
If you’ve found the failure and you just want it fixed right, call (432) 302-8761. We’ll quote it in writing before any work happens, and you’ll know exactly who’s coming because every technician is background-checked and introduced by name and photo before they ring your bell.
FAQs

Cambria steel panels can last 40 – 60 years in the Dallas climate, but the components around them fail much sooner. Pipe collars and vent boots typically last 8 – 12 years before the neoprene and acrylic seals break down under North Texas heat. Flashing has a similar lifespan at seams and transitions. Call (432) 302-8761 if your roof is past the eight-year mark and you haven’t had the penetrations inspected.
Sealant-only repairs can buy you a few months on small cracks, but they’re not a fix for a split pipe collar or a rusted flashing seam. We’ll tell you plainly if a repair will hold or if you’re spending money twice. Either way, the estimate is free.
Most single-part replacements take 2 – 4 hours on site, including panel reset and sealant cure time. Full flashing replacement along a chimney or sidewall can run a full day. We’ll give you a written time frame with the quote, and it won’t change unless we find significant decking damage underneath.
We keep common Cambria flashing kits, vent collars, and sealant systems on our trucks for same-visit replacement in Dallas. Less common profile-specific trim may need a 3 – 5 day order from our supplier. We’ll confirm part availability when you call so you know before we schedule whether it’s a one-visit job.
