Techo-Bloc Fence Installation: The Dallas Owner’s Guide

Techo-Bloc fence installation in Dallas typically runs $3,500 to $9,000, and we stock Techo-Bloc-compatible posts, panels, caps, and hardware on our trucks so most installations are completed in one to two days. If your fence is leaning, panels are cracked, or posts have shifted out of plumb after a hard Texas storm or a few freeze-thaw cycles, you’re dealing with a foundational or hardware problem, not a cosmetic one. The good news: this is a fix with a known price and a known timeline, and we’ll put both in writing before any work starts.

Which Techo-Bloc Models This Applies To

Techo-Bloc’s fence lineup breaks into two families. The Blu 60 and Blu 80 systems are post-and-panel designs where pre-cast concrete posts hold composite or aluminum panels, and they’re the ones we see most often in Dallas backyards. The Estate and Raffinato wall-and-fence lines are modular stackable systems, often paired with landscape walls, and they use a different post core. Here’s the compatibility gotcha most owners don’t know: Techo-Bloc posts are not interchangeable across product lines. A Blu 60 post won’t accept a Blu 80 panel without a retrofit kit, and retrofitting a mismatched pair usually costs more than buying the right post the first time. The fastest way to identify what you have is to look for the embossed Techo-Bloc logo on the inside face of a post or panel, then measure the post width: Blu 60 posts run roughly 20 inches wide, Blu 80 posts closer to 24. When we come out, we confirm the series, measure the existing post spacing, and check whether the original installer used dry-set or wet-set concrete, because that determines how we remove and reset. Mason Remodeling Co Dallas is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with Techo-Bloc; we install and service their products because they hold up, and we stock OEM parts where it matters and quality aftermarket equivalents where it doesn’t.

Signs Your Techo-Bloc Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Posts leaning more than 5 degrees off vertical. This usually means the concrete footing cracked or was poured too shallow for Dallas’s clay-heavy soil. Clay expands when wet and shrinks in a drought, and that movement eventually pushes shallow footings out of line.
  • Hairline cracks running top-to-bottom down a post. Techo-Bloc posts are pre-cast concrete, and they don’t crack on their own. A vertical crack typically means water got into the post core, froze during one of our winter dips, and expanded. Once the crack is there, it widens every season.
  • Panels that rattle or shift in the wind. The panel brackets or the rubber gaskets between panel and post have worn or loosened. You’ll hear it before you see it, especially on a north-facing fence that takes the brunt of a Dallas cold front.
  • Post caps missing or loose. This matters more than it looks. The cap is what keeps rainwater out of the hollow post core. Lose the cap, and you’ve started a clock on internal rust and freeze damage.
  • Gaps opening between the fence line and the ground. On a slope, that’s often erosion from our spring downpours washing soil out from under the bottom rail. On flat ground, it’s more likely a post that has settled, which pulls the whole run out of level.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled primary suite with built-in wardrobes and a window seat

For a typical Dallas backyard run, here’s the honest math:

  • Partial repair (1-3 posts reset or replaced, existing panels reinstalled): $1,200 to $3,000
  • Standard Techo-Bloc fence installation (30-60 linear feet, new posts, panels, caps, hardware): $3,500 to $6,000
  • Full perimeter installation with gate and finish details (60-120 linear feet): $6,000 to $9,000

What moves the number: total linear footage, whether we’re digging new footings through clay or rock, access to the fence line (a tight side yard with no bobcat access costs more in labor), and whether you want OEM Techo-Bloc panels or a compatible alternative. Every quote includes parts, labor, concrete, haul-away of the old materials, and a written line-item breakdown. You get the price before we start, and it doesn’t change unless you change the scope. Our workmanship is covered for 365 days from the completion date under the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something isn’t right, we come back and fix it at no charge.

DIY or Call Us?

There are exactly two things an owner can safely check without hurting themselves or making the job more expensive: look for missing post caps (replace them), and check whether panels are simply loose in their brackets (tighten the bracket screws). Everything else is a call to us. Resetting a Techo-Bloc post means pulling a 150 to 300 pound concrete footing out of the ground, and a post that comes loose mid-pull swings like a wrecking ball. I’ve seen a homeowner try to save a few hundred dollars this way and end up with a broken fence section and a sprained shoulder. Add in that a leaning post under tension can snap a panel when the wind catches it, and this becomes a job where the right tool is a crew, not a weekend. You should know who is coming, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong, before we ever pick up a tool. Call (432) 302-8761 and we’ll walk the fence line with you, measure everything, and hand you a written number.
